Crossrail Benelux has been a production company of BLS Cargo AG since 2019 and ran almost 10,000 trains on behalf of BLS Cargo in Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany in 2024. Compared to 2019, the year in which Crossrail was acquired by BLS Cargo, this represents an increase in transport volume of around 46 per cent.
BLS Cargo launched a transformation programme at the end of 2024 to make processes more standardised, simpler and more efficient across all countries. The aim is to strengthen the BLS Cargo Group and offer customers even more integrated and seamless services from a single source.
As a logical consequence of the strengthening of the Group, Crossrail Benelux will be visibly integrated into the BLS Cargo world as of 1 September 2025. On the one hand, this means that Crossrail will be renamed BLS Cargo Nord NV and, on the other, will operate under the "BLS Cargo" brand/logo. From this date, all companies of the BLS Cargo Group will be united under the BLS Cargo logo.
